I’ve been inspecting homes for termites and fungus for twenty one years. Time flies when you are having fun. You know, if you pay attention you can learn something every day or at the least wear the white hat (be the good guy).

Example:
I was called out to Simi Valley for a second opinion on a manufactured home. The owner had received a report from another company that indicated drywood termites on the structure and recommended a fumigation. The owner was a little suspicious of the other inspector and wanted verification. My inspection (very thorough) revealed no termites on the residence but only a small infestation in the wood pile, some 5 feet away from the structure. (This was later confirmed as the location by the other company) I recommended they dispose of the firewood or being a little chilly, burn it that night in the fireplace. They did. I got to wear the “white hat”.
